Best Martial Arts Style For Fitness

Naming the best martial arts style for fitness is almost an impossible task. We’re going to go through the most effective martial arts that you can try at our studio and try to see which is truly the best. Let’s do it!

1. Martial Arts

Adult Karate ClassWe offer a general Taekwondo fitness class that is kind of a little bit of everything, and all of our students love it. You’ll learn how to throw kicks and punches, have a blast with fun-loving people, and break quite a sweat, too. Our basic routine is to condition at the start of class, run through drills, teach new skills, and wrap up with a cool down. You will get sweaty in this class, so if you’re just starting to explore martial arts and looking for the best martial arts style for fitness, our adult martial arts classes could be the perfect fit for you.

2. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

best martial arts style for fitnessBrazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a common form of martial art practised around the world. A BJJ student will learn more moves on the ground, leveraging their body through physics and motion to strategically fight an attacker that may be bigger and stronger than they are. Many women’s self-defence classes, including our own, will take pages from BJJ. If you’re looking to work your core in particular, go with BJJ–lots of groundwork = lots of core work! All who desire shredded abs, attend a BJJ class. It might be the best martial arts style for fitness for you!

3. Muay Thai and Krav Maga

Adult Karate ClassMuay Thai and Krav Maga will both take your fitness regimen to the next level. Our Muay Thai classes are for you, if you’re looking to train competitively and fight on the mat. You’ll also learn how to attack with your elbows and knees, instead of just punching and kicking. Krav Maga is more of a boot camp style of teaching, as it was originally taught to Israeli soldiers, so it’s super practical for real-life fighting. Both forms promise a killer physique and excellent self-defence training. However, the best martial arts style for fitness is dependent on whether you want to compete and use elbows and knees, or if you want to focus more on real-life self-defence applications.
